Boot Live System

RUN LIVE

Running the C4C Lubuntu 16.04 ReSpin live may be used to demonstrate, or try out the OS without making any permanent changes to your computer.  If asked for a password during a Live session, it is c4c1604.

Use C4C DVD to Rescue Files

As long as the hard disk drive spins up; running live may also be used to "rescue" files from a computer that no longer works properly and/or wipe all the files.

INSTALLING

WARNING: Installation will ERASE the current Operating System

You may have chosen to boot straight into the System installer. If running Live, go to Menu --> Sound & Video --> Mouse Mover. This should keep the screen from blanking.

Mouse Mover

Go to Menu --> System Tools --> Systemback. Choose the System install button from within Systemback.

System Install

Regardless of whether you booted the Live desktop or not, fill out the System Install Form: name of the new user, username (lower case), password (a mix of letters, numbers and special characters is recommended) and hostname (name of the computer on your network).
