Blinken

For slightly bigger ones, see GCompris (gcompris), TuxMath (tuxmath), Tux Typing (tuxtype) and Tux Paint (tuxpaint). Actually, Tux Paint and GCompris can be popular with the little ones too.

Celestia

A great resource for specific types of general educational applications is Linux App Finder. Also see software useful for the classroom at SchoolForge.net  – categorized and search-able. Alan Moore has a nice selection of children's educational software listed by title on his blog.

GeoGebra

Educational software can be found via the Lubuntu Software Center and the Synaptic Package Manager. Note: Because so much of online education is video based; please also see our VIDEO section.
